Activities Director

The Gardens at Gettysburg is seeking a full-time Activities Director to join our skilled nursing facility in Gettysburg, PA. This role is responsible for planning, organizing, implementing, and directing a comprehensive activities program that meets the emotional, recreational, social, and spiritual needs of our residents.
Key Responsibilities

• Plan, schedule, and coordinate movies, parties, games, crafts, projects, outings, and special events at least one month in advance
• Identify and monitor residents' emotional, social, spiritual, and recreational needs through regular interaction with residents and families
• Encourage resident participation to promote physical engagement, creativity, and lifelong learning
• Ensure nursing supervisors assist residents with activity selection in compliance with physician orders
• Post and document resident activities in PCC
• Recruit, orient, and coordinate volunteers for activity programming
• Coordinate and facilitate monthly Resident Council meetings
• Manage resident shopping requests and resident mail
• Maintain compliance with all state, federal, and facility regulations related to activity programming

Education & Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred
• Post-secondary education in a related field is desirable
• Previous long-term care experience required
• Minimum of two (2) years of experience as an Activities Director, Supervisor, or work under a Certified Activity Consultant preferred
• NCCAP certification required
• Must be 18 years of age or older
